I am taking a one-month retreat from all social media, which of course will include dA.  I've been planning this for awhile but there were a few loose ends I wanted to tie up first.  Before I go, I'd like to share a few thoughts about improving in a trade as well as why I am taking this break from social media. I'm about to start up college as a music major after a gap year of just studying music and composing privately.  I'm trying to become so focused on it that it's just what I want to do every day, all the time.  Consistent, deliberate practice like that isn't necessarily "fun," but at the end of the day, it feels really good to achieve

1) Tell you something I learned about you by looking at your DA page. 2) Tell you a color you remind me of. 3) Tell you Element I think you belong to (e.g. water, fire, air, etc.). 4) Tell you what comic, manga/anime, or video game character you remind me of. 5) Ask you a question, and you must answer. 6) Tell you something I like about you. 7) Give you a nickname. 8) Tell you the object that is to the left of me. 9) Tell you what food/ flavor/smell you remind me of 10) Tell you to do one in your journal too! from etudes (https://www.deviantart.com/etudes) :>
